The Good Loop Summer 2025: Growth, Connection, and Lasting Impact
As the summer term of The Good Loop (TGL) comes to an end, we pause to reflect on what this program truly represents and our achievements. Our cohort brought fresh energy and vision to Wearsos’ mission. Each participant played a role in strengthening our brand, but more importantly, they discovered something we hold at the heart of The Good Loop: that meaningful change starts with intentional individuals.
We had the great opportunity to work with people from various backgrounds, education levels, and geographic locations. Every person brought a different perspective—some rooted in sustainability, others in business, design, or community development. This combination created a space where ideas felt fresh, collaboration came naturally, and learning happened in both directions.
Beyond the impact they leave on Wearsos, cohorts like The Good Loop also create powerful opportunities for volunteers and emerging professionals. For many, it’s a chance to gain hands-on experience in sustainability, social enterprise, and community engagement while working in a real-world context that blends creativity with purpose.
For Mario Gutierrez, who joined The Good Loop as Partnership & Outreach Coordinator, this term became a journey of both professional growth and personal discovery.
“My time with The Good Loop has been a really meaningful experience for me. I found myself learning how to connect with people and organizations in a way that felt genuine and aligned with Wearsos’ mission.”
Through his role, Mario helped in reaching audiences. Behind every email, call, or collaboration is something deeper:
“Change happens when you build real relationships and stay consistent… It made me realize how much impact comes from being part of a bigger ecosystem rather than trying to do it alone… It reminded me that behind all the projects and partnerships, it’s really about people caring for each other. That’s something I’ll take with me into my studies, career, and everyday life.”
Everyone’s journey in TGL looks a little different.
Caroline Waber served as the Program Assistant & Community Impact who helped to create new systems and tools that will carry the program forward. Her work this term was rooted in strengthening the foundation for our program’s future.
“Working on a team through The Good Loop is such a rewarding and fun experience to work for a company that does so much good in the rural communities of Costa Rica and around the world.”
Caroline played a central role in preparing TGL to welcome future cohorts. For Caroline, the work was not only about operations but also about mindset. She offers this advice to the next cohort:
“Come in with an excitement and readiness to learn so many new things that help contribute to the operations of Wearsos.”
As this term comes to an end, we’re reminded how much each person in The Good Loop adds to the bigger picture.
To our Summer 2025 cohort—thank you for bringing your dedication, curiosity, and heart to the program.
